Chef Joe Koniski is the Executive Chef of Social Kitchen & Bar in downtown Birmingham, Michigan. He hails from Las Vegas, Nevada, where he lead numerous award winning restaurants. Starting in many small venues and working with top chefs from around the world he gained skill and knowledge with each position. Now with over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry he has a natural ability to lead and an innate understanding of food. Joe has a wide range of skills and experience as an Executive Chef in some of the world’s most renowned casinos, as well as directorial positions in hotels, resorts, and casino restaurants across the country. After working the last several years in the upper echelon of corporate management, Joe chose to become part of the Peas & Carrots Hospitality family this year as Executive Chef of Social to focus again on his love for food and people in a more intimate, team-oriented, and culturally-rich environment.
